Just Shut Up and Take My Money – November Favourites

November is gone and my favourites are here. While I was gathering my most beloved products for this month, I noticed that I was definitely focusing the most on skin and lips. I was surprised to see that almost every little thing I bought in November has also become one of my favourites. I don’t know whether that’s because I improved my shopping technique or brands are just coming up with good quality products. Well, at least it was worth spending the money.

  1. Pixi Beauty – Hydrating Milky Mist (£18)

This is the first product I try from Pixi by Petra and my first Hydrating Mist ever. I must say I am completely in love with it. This blend of black oat, vitamin A and hyaluronic acid makes the perfect first layer of hydration for my skin. The moment I close my eyes and I mist it all over my face, a very soothing smell and a mix of goodness caress my skin and relax me instantly. I would recommend this hydrating mist to everyone, no matter the skin type.

  1. The Ordinary – Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5(£6) & 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil (£9)

These two serums have become my holy grails for my dry skin. The Hyaluronic Acid, once applied in the morning after my hydrating mist from Pixi, feels like a long-awaited cup of water after being in the desert for two days. It absorbs into my skin almost immediately and it really plumps it up. Also, simply knowing that I use such a pure and organic product on my skin makes me feel much better than spending hundreds on skincare products that don’t even work sometimes.

The Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil makes my night time routine so much easier. I apply a few drops on my freshly moisturised skin just before I go to bed and when I wake up, a few years have been erased from my face. Literally, it makes my skin feel softer, younger, fresher, without leaving any oil residue. I recommend these two products to all my dry-skin fellows.

  1. Kat Von D – Shade + Light Eye Contour Brush (£23)

Ok, so I have to say that this is not the best brush ever. Why is it my favourite for this month? Probably just because of its resting place: the coffin. I think the packaging is phenomenal. And I really like the fact that is a duo-ended brush. The Light side works alright in the crease, to blend eyeshadow and it works amazing with cream or metallic shades. The Shade side is my favourite because is like this really precise pencil brush that packs product on your bottom lash line, but blends at the same time. It would be a good brush for some cut-crease work as well. I don’t recommend this brush to everyone, only to make-up addicts or people who like to collect make-up for beautiful packaging.

  1. Kat Von D – Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Plath (£17)

Nothing much to say about this one. It’s just that warm brown colour that’s very on trend right now. It looks quite grungy on the lips. The formula is the same like every other liquid lipstick from Kat Von D: thin, long-wearing, and not that drying. Get one, if you don’t already have this shade like everyone else.

  1. Kat Von D – Everlasting Mini Liquid Lip Set (£42)

“Don’t you have enough lipsticks?” (he asks)

“NEVER” (she replies a bit annoyed)

“I thought you already had this shade” (he says)

“Maybe from a different brand. But, no, it’s not the same” (she thinks men can’t understand make-up)

Yep, that’s me. I’ll end up building furniture just to have enough space to store my lipsticks. What can I say about these lipsticks is that the formula is the same, but the shades aren’t, even if they look quite similar. I love them all! I think this is the perfect little set for autumn and winter. And it would make a perfect gift as well. The price might seem a bit steep, but you actually get a lot for what you pay. Totally recommend it for someone who wants to try more liquid lipsticks suitable for the cold seasons.

  1. Too Faced – Melted Matte Gingerbread (£16.80)

Ooooh, this Lipstick. No, I know what you all think! THERE IS NEVER ENOUGH LIPSTICK! Especially if it’s limited edition in the most beautiful burnt orange shade with the most delicious smell and taste of gingerbread. Yep, you need it in your life! Go grab it!

  1. Essence – Lash Princess Sculpted Volume Mascara (£3)

Can you actually go wrong with a mascara for £3? I think with this one you can only go right! So cheap and so good. This mascara does exactly what it says: sculpts your lashes and gives a ton of volume as well. The only thing I would say is that you need to kind of wiggle the brush whilst applying it, so you don’t get them clumpy. Also it helps a lot if you take the excess off the brush. It’s not the most long-wearing mascara, but it doesn’t make me look like a panda at the end of the day, maybe it just gives a bit more of a lived-in make-up effect. Give it a try, it might blow your mind!

  1. NYX Cosmetics – Epic Ink Liner (£9)

This liner is an even better dupe for Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. I reckon this one is not that shiny, is more fluid, and it doesn’t drag the skin at all. The brush tip is very thin and precise. You can definitely create any sort of wing or line with this one. The Hype is real around this one. If you’re on the hunt for a good liquid-pen liner, go for this one! It won’t disappoint you.
